"What a group you have! I am a working musician in Chicago and am embarrassed to say I've never heard of the Tremper Golden Strings before, but was blown away Saturday night at my cousin's wedding when your group serenaded all the guests at the University Club! I truly had tears in my eyes for 45-minutes striaght at the beauty of your ladies and gentlemen playing the most gorgeous dinner music! What an incredible surprise and treat for all! Thank you for making the journey to make Caitlin and Nello's wedding so elegant and memorable. Needless to say that was the best reception my family has ever seen -- and we've seen a LOT!

"Thank you for making Christina and Thomas wedding so beautiful. Everyone loved the Golden Strings and were amazed at their performance. I hope to see the group again soon. They were truly the highlight of the evening!

"Please accept my sincerest "Thank You" for the spectacular performance by the Golden Strings at the Casa Italia Gala on Saturday, February 20, 2016. I recevied numerous compliments about the exceptional talents of this group of young men and women and the variety of music they performed. It was truly a pleasure to host you and your group."

"I am a parent of a 4th grade cellist, Bella Wulterkens, from Roosevelt Elementary. My family was in attendance at this evening's concert at Lance Middle School. Based on my observations, I felt compelled to email you, at once....
Ha! Apologies for my purposely ominous greeting. I felt compelled to email because I was really thrilled to see your group in action. There were so many elements of their performance that I found impressive. The musical aspects of their performance were definitely impressive: they were accurate with pitch and rhythm, intonation was truly impressive, phrasing and dynamics were excellent, and they were SO expressive. But what really made these students stand out went beyond the basics of music and addressed more of the full potential aesthetic experience.
I enjoyed the way the members of the ensemble moved...and I don't just mean walking around the audience. You could see that, for so many of the musicians in the ensemble, there was a complete physical connection to the music they were playing. It was as fun to watch as it was to listen!
As a high school choir teacher myself, I'm sure you can imagine my delight when your ensemble sang! On multiple songs! And sang beautifully! Thank you for having your students sing.
Lastly, many members of your ensemble performed with great facial expression. I saw so many genuine smiles from many members of your ensemble. As I enjoyed listening and watching the ensemble, I had a huge smile on my face, throughout. As I made eye contact with many of the ensemble members performing around me, they returned my smiles. For members of your ensemble who are still working on showing outwardly their joy in making music, please tell them how much it matters!
I cannot wait until my next opportunity to see and hear the Golden Strings perform again! And further, I can't wait for my children to be a part of this amazing ensemble. Working with my choirs on many of the things I describe above, I know that this type of ensemble does not happen accidentally. It is clear that you are doing an excellent job with this ensemble. Thank you... to you and your students, for what you are doing!"Regards,
Sam Wulterkens

"I would like to congratulate you on a beautiful performance on Saturday November 15, 2014, at the Parkway Chateau. Thank you for performing during The Brompton School's First Annual Spaghetti Dinner. Your performance set the mood for a relaxing and enjoyable dinner for families.
Thank you for your generous donation of time and talent. I know that high school students have very busy schedules and taking time on Saturday meant many sacrifices. Through your sharing of time and talent, you may never know the influence you made on the young students present in the audience. Many of the Brompton students in attendance on Saturday are playing a band or orchestra instrument this year. Thank you for showcasing your talents, being a role model of professional performers and for your personal conversations at tables after each sitting.
I was pleasantly surprised to see former students of mine performing that evening. In appreciation for your time and in support of your efforts to raise money for your exciting trip overseas this summer, please accept this donation from my family.
I encourage you to continue to challenge yourselves academically and musically. I wish all of you the best in this shcool year, in your preparation for your many concerts and for your preparation for this summer's exxperiences. Have a wonderful holday season with your families and rest as you have a lot planned in the near future."
Sincerely,
Suzanne Loewen

"We can't thank you enough for helping to make our dream wedding so memorable for us and our guests! We haven't stopped hearing about how much our guests were amazed by you and your students. We understand you had to reschedule some things to make the dates work. Just know your extra effort is so much appreciated!! Thank you!"

"Words cannot express our gratitude for all you did in making our wedding day truly special! Thank you so much for organizing a quartet for the ceremony, and for cueing them throughout. It went perfectly! The prelude to the Bach Cello suites was the perfect touch too! Also, thank you so much for having the Golden Strings perform at our reception. Meeting in the Strings, then having them perform at our wedding, and even joining them was such an amazing experience. Playing with you, singing "Melody of Love" to each other, singing "Kenosha", and dancing to the "Anniversary Waltz" while being surrounded by the group are definitely parts of our wedding day we will always remember. I can't tell you how many compliments we received about the group! Of course our family and friends LOVED the Strings, but our out of town guests were especially blown away! They were asking us questions about the group and were so impressed that we both were once a part of this outstanding organization. As former members, we just want to thank you for keeping the Golden Strings alive and want to tell the current group that all of their hard work paid off! So keep up the great work and have fun at Camp! They played beautifully and all of the people involved should be proud! It was really cool to have the Nosals and Wells playing along too! We can't thank you enough! We will be seeing you at the Strings/Orchestra events in the near future!"Thank you,
Austin & Dana Gordon

Their performance was absolutely beautiful. The music of the Golden Strings was tangible in the air, and they were perfectly synchronized. They impressed everyone here, and even brought a few people to tears. Very moving.
Thank you Leon for recommending them, and convincing me to bring them to Piper’s.
Helen, you are certainly invited back next year, if Leon and the guys from Sailfish are in too. Have a safe trip back to Kenosha.

Thank you so much for the incredible performance that your group delivered Sunday evening. The members in attendance, and all of the staff, were completely blown away with the entire evening. Unfortunately, we had some other events on property occurring during the same time, and that kept our attendance lower than anticipated. However, the members in attendance cannot stop raving! Although I was unable to attend, I have received numerous e-mails, phone calls and positive comments regarding the performance.
If your group is scheduling another trip to Florida, we would DEFINITELY be interested in having you back. Please let us know the next time you are in our area, and we will get you on the calendar so you are the only game in town.
Best Regards for a Happy and Healthy New Year!

To the wonderful Tremper Golden Strings, thank you, thank you, and once again, thank you. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the marvelous program you did for us at the "Celebrate Life" program for the Caner Treatment Center of America. It was so uplifting and a perfect way to begin our 2 day celebration. I love the DVD we received! Each and every one of you is blessed with so much talent. We hope that you had a great trip to China. With love and thanks,

"Performing with the Golden Strings was the single most wonderful experience of my high school career. I made some lasting friendships, learned some fantastic music, and experienced performing in several venues that I probably wound't have been to on my own. Not only has the Golden Strings taught me how to be a solo performer and entertainer, but the group has also taught me how to be a better and more noble human being. I learned how to be a team player beacuse this group could not function without the cooperation of every member of the group. I learned that by playing my violin for someone, it is just as satisfying for me as for the person listening, which drives me to play at my best. And most of all, I learned that passion for music is something that is incredibly contagious! Our music teachers had it, then the group as a whole had it, which finally passed on to our many audiences. With the great leadership that we had, and STILL have today, I know that this passion will continue to infect people wherever the Golden Strings go. I graduated and left the Golden Strings three years ago, but I left completely satisfied that we touched the lives of at least one or two people with our music, which is the best kind of reward I could ever receive."

"On Wednesday, December 12, 2012, my wife and I were guests of our son at a dinner party held at the Butterfield Country Club in Oake Brook, Illinois. The entertainment was provided by your music group (violins and other string intstruments). The music director was present also, introducing the group.
I can honestly say I have never heard a finer group perform. As Principal, you should be extremely proud of them. The highlight of the evening was when one of the young musicians personally serenaded me. She was an absolute delight and had a very, very pretty voice. Then a few moments later, my wife was serenaded by one of the young men who did just as fine a job. Many years ago (Class of ’49) I attended Mt. Carmel High School, a Catholic boys school on the south side of Chicago. Unfortunately, being an all boy’s school, we could never had had a group like you are so fortunate in having. We really enjoyed the entire performance. Please pass my best wishes and congratulations on a superb job to your Music Director and the young musicians. Merry Christmas!"Robert C. Hultquist

"This is the second year that I had been invited to attend the Christmas Holiday Dinner at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, IL and the second year that I was thoroughly entertained by the Tremper Golden Strings. This is an amazing event; a great way to kick off the Christmas Season.
I want to say thank you for all the beautiful music played by the best America has to offer, our dedicated youth. The time and devotion of the faculty, the volunteers and the students is obvious and what a gift it was to be on the receiving end.
Thank you, you give me hope that the next generation will be good stewards of our nation. Thank you and Merry Christmas!"

Congratulations on an outstanding performance at the SkillsUSA dinner in Washington, D.C. It was clear from the standing ovation that the guests were overwhelmed by the entire show: from the music selection, to the well-choreographed "Strolling", to the serenades at each table...it all created a memory that will last a lifetime.
The Golden Strings represented Tremper High School and the City of Kenosha quite well before an audience of nationally prominent business leader, educators and government officials...a discerning crowd indeed. Many were astonished that such a large group of talented and polished young men and women could be found among the students at only one high school.
I know that such organization and capability reflects your dedicated and energetic leadership. You can be justifiably pleased with these young men and women. You should also be proud of the extraordinary contribution you make to your school, and to your community. You helped set Tremper and Kenosha apart.
I also want to recognize the volunteers, because without them it's difficult to execute at this special level. We were able to meet Stan Nosal, founder of the Golden Strings and provider of "tough love" coaching to the students. Colana Hutchinson, Jakob Michaelis and Nancy Nosal were a great accompaniment to the performance. The chaperones, Jorie and Don Zakutansky, Mary Herbert and Kamela Gleason ensured the safety and punctuality throughout the trip. My thanks to them all.
Snap-on feels quite fortunate to have such a talented Orchestra so nearby. Keep up the great work and we look forward to seeing you soon.

"“My name is Byekwaso Gilbert and I work with SkillsUSA. I was so excited that Tremper was here. I'm telling you the music was very moving. I loved the melodies. I know it takes a lot of hard work to prepare. So thank you so much for coming and sharing the gift of music with us and the melodies. I hope you guys continue to succeed in life and that your school continues to expand as you travel and share the music with others. You definitely make a heart very happy. Thank you!" "I just wanted to tell you and members of the Tremper Golden Strings what a marvelous performance you all put on the other night in Washington D.C. You are to be commended for putting together quite a group of talented students and they are to be commended for their dedication to music and the talent they are individually developing. I loved every moment of the show and am currently enjoying your CD. Please keep up the great work and hopefully we can find an opportunity to bring you to Louisville, KY for an engagement in the not-too-distant future." (Sept. 2012)

"On April 28, 2012, MGV Harmonia held its 45th annual Spring Concert at St. Mark's Hall, Kenosha. Attendance was seen at the near level of "full house" and the audience was responsive and enthusiastic. Our song selections were diverse and challenging. Another highlight of the evening was our guest performers, Tremper High School's strolling violins ensemble (aka the "Golden Strings." They also sang a song in Polish at different individual locations! Director Helen Breitenbach commanded the well-disciplined group while also pleasing Stanley Nosal, who originated the "Strings," and who also was in attendance. They were a delight to many of us from the Greater Kenosha Community. We again thank them for making this concert a truly memorable evening." (April, 2012)
